About

About the lesson

Teaching Method and Techniques: As a tutor, I focus on creating a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing their speaking and listening skills. My teaching method emphasizes real-life conversation practice, pronunciation correction, and building vocabulary through topics that interest the student. I encourage open communication and active participation to help students gain confidence.

Typical Lesson Plan:

Warm-Up (5-10 minutes): Start with casual conversation to get comfortable and assess the student's current level.
Topic Introduction (10-15 minutes): Introduce a new topic based on the student's interests (e.g., hobbies, daily life, culture).
Speaking Practice (20-25 minutes): Engage in guided conversation or role-play, focusing on using new vocabulary and expressions.
Listening Exercise (10-15 minutes): Listen to short audio clips, videos, or dialogues, and discuss the content.
Feedback & Homework (5-10 minutes): Provide constructive feedback on areas for improvement and assign light, practical homework if needed (e.g., listening to a podcast, preparing to talk about a specific topic next time).
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor: What makes my lessons unique is my personalized approach. I tailor each session to match the student's level, interests, and goals. As a native Chinese speaker and a university student studying Biotechnology and Food Engineering, I can also incorporate scientific or technical vocabulary if needed. My sessions are designed to be interactive, with a focus on helping students express themselves freely and confidently.

Who the Lessons Are For: My lessons are suitable for:

Beginners who want to learn the basics of Mandarin conversation.
Intermediate learners looking to improve their speaking and listening skills.
Students interested in Chinese culture or planning to visit or study in China.
Anyone who wants to practice conversational Mandarin in a relaxed, friendly setting.
