About Anouska

Hi, my name is Anouska and I am a lover of languages! I am a Cambridge graduate with a degree in Classics, and am currently studying an MSc in Speech and Language Therapy.

I sat Latin, Ancient Greek, and English Literature A-levels, and achieved A*s in each paper. I am super passionate about each of these subjects, and am experienced in supporting students in education.

I am very comfortable adopting many methods of teaching depending on what sort of learner you are (or if you're not sure!), and am invested in figuring out what works best for you.

I'm a patient and friendly face, and will take the time to go over every detail until you're confident in your understanding - I truly believe there is no such thing as a silly question!

On the other hand, if you're feeling confident already and want a challenge, I'm very familiar with the Cambridge "supervision" system, where we can explore a narrow topic together through leading discussion.

I can't wait to share my love of language with others!

About the lesson

I am offering 1 hour online sessions, in Classical Languages (Latin and/or Ancient Greek) up to A-Level, and English Literature and Language up to GCSE level. I'm a passionate linguist, and a lover of literature too! I have experience working in Further Education, especially with SEN students.

I can support students with homework, essays, and grammar revision, using a wide range of learning and revision techniques, and always working closely to exam board mark-schemes.

For example, I personally love getting creative with a mind-map or working out loud through practice questions, but I'm very flexible in my approach and can adopt whichever techniques work best for you. As a top student, I have tried and tested many approaches myself!

As a Cambridge graduate, I have 3 years of experience with the supervision system, and am able to emulate a discussion-based teaching method for more advanced academic exploration into a narrow topic.

I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate, and am fully trained in Safeguarding.

Above all, I'm a friendly and patient individual with real enthusiasm for Classics and English, and I can't wait to share my passion with others!
