About Ingrid
I am a CELTA qualified teacher with an English MA Hons from St Andrews. I have taught both monolingual and multi lingual classes both in the UK and in Brazil and Italy, I started my career where I did my training at Marble Arch Intensive English school. Years later I had the opportunity to teach at the Anglo School in Bauru, Brazil. I moved to Italy in 2010 and taught in Pisa. both business English to employees of ENEL, the Italian electric company and adult individuals. Most recently I have taught young adults and adults at Sidmouth International School in Devon UK.

I teach young adults and adults,mainly from beginner to upper intermediate level. I have taught adults to advanced level with special professional requirements, eg medical students.
My style of teaching is very much functional by topic, with a focus on a specific grammar topic. The students are encouraged to practise the target language and grammar point through role play in pairs and groups. They are often given the opportunity to give a presentation either individually or in their groups to reinforce the objective of the lesson and control whether they have understood and are able to use the relevant grammar point and associated vocabulary.
