About Katlego
Hello! My name is Katlego (Kat). I was born and bred in South Africa. My hobbies include music, listening to poetry, hairdressing and I have a good background in business and commercial studies. During my time doing recruitments I got to speak to people from all over the world with different accents and I enjoyed having conversations with each one of them as I got to learn some of their difficulties communicating in a foreign language. This experience including my TEFL certification and passion for education has influenced my interest in teaching English as a foreign and second language. Teaching English is fun and engaging which generously keeps me motivated.

I believe that education is a learning process for both the teacher and the student as it allows them to understand themselves and the world around them. In each lesson we will focus on different materials through discussions, reading, writing, visuals and demonstrations. We will include role play and practice for interviews and presentations.
Primary education was not easy for me as I had to move from the village to studying in the city were other children were fluent in more than one or two languages, it was intimidating but learning was exciting and I know it can also be exciting for other children and adults who are learning a new language such as English.
I encourage new ideas, challenges, engagement, opinions, independence and curiosity in and out of the classroom. I hope to make the most of every learning minute and I hope you do too.
