About James

I am a keen Classicist, with a particular enthusiasm for the Latin language as well as Greek theatre and politics. I teach in a conversational style, through questioning, explanation, and exploration, and am keen to help my students achieve their goals. Outside of my academic commitments, I am a keen rower and pianist.

About the lesson

I have previously worked in the Classics department at Stamford School, giving Greek and Classics tuition to students from year 7 to 11. I have also been a piano teacher, offering tailored one-to-one lessons. I am clear and structured in my teaching style, with clearly defined aims and objectives, and a plan of how to achieve this. I am friendly and approachable, while remaining motivating.
