About Olivia
I have tutored and taught my peers, my family, and children in my community for the last several years. Some of the things I have tutored in, include history, math, and science, and some of the different skills I have taught are crochet, sewing, drawing, and 3D sculpture. I am a dedicated student and will be a dedicated teacher as well. I've learned a lot about teaching from my own art teachers, as well as from my involvement in peer tutoring, community events work, organizing and running various kids' camps, and helping teach different skills to my peers and family. I value communication, hard work, professionalism, and creativity. I will do my absolute best to show and explain all aspects of whatever skill, medium, or subject my students are interested in with the intention that they will be able to end their tutoring sessions with a greater understanding and love for the subject.

I'm good at explaining and showing complicated things in easy to understand ways, very adaptable to different learning styles, and like to create fun and engaging learning environments! Art is supposed to be fun, and it's about creativity so I like to emphasize that when I teach.
I will work with the student to build a lesson plan based around the skills or specific project they would like to work on. Typically I teach by starting with the basics and doing several mini projects to build up to a larger project- such as teaching crochet basics, creating different shapes, and then finally working up to a stuffed animal project!
I will provide lessons for anyone who wants to learn about or improve their art, and am willing to teach K-12.
