About Nicole

I have been a teacher for the past 14 years always rated "highly effective." I have a bachelors and masters degree in education and I continue to take professional development courses to improve my craft. I am dedicated to my students, patient to their learning process, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure their success. I understand how frustrating learning something can be, and I am there to cheer you on and support you as you work to master your skills.

About the lesson

I have been a middle school and adult learner teacher for the past 14 years. I focus my lessons on being interactive by following the gradual release model. The lessons will start with the "I Do" which will focus on me modeling the skill for the day. We will then move on to the "We Do" where you and I will practice the skill together to help boost your confidence as well as check for understanding. The final component will be the "You Do" where I will have an independent activity for you to work on with me there to guide as needed. This will serve as an informal assessment of where you need more guidance or if you are ready to move forward to the next skill. This allows for both you and I to track your growth together.
