About Roddy
I am very passionate about drumming. I don't consider it work because I love it so much. I spend most of my free time working on being a better drummer, practising for gigs, recording youtube videos, writing new music and creating drum parts for songs.
I want to share this knowledge with all my students and I love to see others that are equally as passionate. It's a joy for me to watch students grow and become confident behind the drums but most of all enjoy themselves. I take it quite seriously but I want people to take it as seriously as they want to. I'm here to help people achieve whatever it is they want to achieve with whatever time they have and are willing to put towards being a better drummer.
So since graduating university I have played in many bands across the world including 2 years on Cruise ships around America, Caribbean and Mexico. I've played in musicals, with tribute acts, covers bands and with my own original bands all over the UK, Europe and Asia. Some with rehearsals, some without and some as sight reading gigs. So I have had a lot of experience in lots of different and challenging situations.
I like to share experiences with students and encourage them with tips and advice on how to pursue with performing live as well as recording in studios or at home.

What will you get out of my drum lessons?
They will be fun, inspiring, motivating, challenging and rewarding.
- I can teach any age from beginner to advanced drummers.
- I like to set out goals whether it be an exam through Rockschool (or school of your choice), a song or drum beat.
- I will work with the student on technique, technical exercises, listening exercises and sight reading exercises. These are planned out every lesson for the individual in whatever desired style.
- Lessons range from 30 minutes to an hour depending on ability and age.
