About Merijn

My dad was a drummer, and I followed in his footsteps from a very young age. I've always loved music and the chance to be the driving force of a band really is one of the best experiences imaginable. Drumming is both an amazing workout and a deeply expressive instrument, and I feel very lucky to be able to have drumming and music in my life! (concealed information)

About the lesson

With 20+ years of experience as both a performing drummer and teacher, I welcome all levels and ages. I have extensive experience preparing students for grade exams such as Trinity, Rockschool and more, and depending on your personal interests, we can custom design a curriculum to ensure you get the most out of lessons, always leave your lesson with a real sense of achievement and of course have tons of fun during lessons! I can teach online, or in person at the Storm Studios in Holloway, or my home studio in Clapham Park, where I'm fully set up with drumkits and PA system to play to your favourite tunes live. Lessons are 30 minutes or 55 minutes and may be every other week, or weekly. I am a conservatoire educated musician and teacher, and I am fully DBS checked.
