About Johari
I am a drummer of 15+ years. I have experience with all different types of music, including pop, rock, hip-hop, jazz, classical, and gospel.
I have many acknowledgements from a few Grammy Award-winners and nominees, including David Benoit, Dave Wilder, and Albert Alva.
I've played in many bands and in many places in concert halls. I've been a gigging musician and worked with all different types of people with different musical styles.
I have experience in college bands, an ex-official member of the Long Beach City College university band, and a current member of the University of Dar Es Salaam band.
I have a passion for teaching music and am thrilled and honored to share my knowledge with people all over the world.

- I believe in teaching to the students needs! I asses the level that students are already at when we have our first meeting, and from there we progress at the rate that my students need. I believe in near-mastery before continuing so students can be the best musicians they can be!
- Each lesson is split into two sections. The first section is for practicing sheet music reading for drums, the second section is for drum set practice.
- I teach beginners and intermediate drummers.
