About Tricia

For the past seven years, I've honed my skills and crafted a systematic, effective intervention approach for students with dyslexia. Through extensive development and implementation, I've created my own dyslexia screening and intervention program, ensuring that every student receives the tailored support they need.

My journey hasn't been confined to classrooms alone. From schools to libraries and my private office, I've tirelessly pursued excellence, independently acquiring materials, testing them, and refining my teaching methods through hands-on experience. My qualifications speak volumes about my dedication to this field. Since 1996, I've been on a quest to develop the expertise necessary for success. In 2012, I earned my master's degree and certification in Secondary Education- Reading Specialist, achieving highly-qualified status in both Early Childhood (P-3) and Reading Specialist (K-12) areas, certifications updated with ALSDE till 2023.

My specialization in dyslexia intervention is a testament to my unwavering focus on empowering students and their families. In 2012, I obtained my Orton-Gillingham AA tutor certification from the prestigious Greengate School (now part of Randolph in Huntsville, AL). Additionally, my journey has embraced alternative, positive, and progressive learning methods. For thirteen years, I immersed myself in the Montessori approach, teaching in schools in Birmingham, AL, and earning Montessori certification in 2005.
