About Caitlin

Hello all! My name is Caitlin Lewis (Mrs. Lewis) and I have been teaching English as a Second Language and tutoring English reading and comprehension skills for roughly three years. I am very dependable, friendly and enthusiastic! I enjoy getting to know my students throughout our lessons and how to critique my teaching styles to assist them for the most success! I am very communicative and open to all suggestions, requests and needs of a student. It is my goal to create a space that merits enthusiasm and confidence to learn as much as possible!

My teaching method includes moving at as slow of a pace that is needed. I intricately follow along with the students and assist with proper syntax/usage/pronunciation of the words. A typical lesson would include any assigned reading with comprehension questions to follow. Lessons may also include a time for students to be able to express where they need clarity and more assistance.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am eager to see improvement by the end of the lesson. Also, it is my goal to create more confidence in the student so that they are enthused to learn.
My lessons in the past have been designed for students ages 4-15. However, I am open to all ages and can adjust my tutoring exercises based on skill level and needs.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions! Thank you for your consideration!
