About Jonathan
Hey my name is Jonathan but everyone just calls me John.
I am 22 years old International Business student at Hogeschool Utrecht and I was born in Essen, Germany.
After I finished the German Highschool in 2017 and got my Abitur, (final graduation letter) I started to travel around the world. My first destination was Cuba where I lived in Havana for a while. Since then I have been traveling around Central America, the Caribbean, South America, North America and Europe with a break of 5 months. During this time period I have been working for a social media company as a content moderator.
I started to teach online lessons a little more than half a year ago now. I have been teaching students mostly from South America, the English and German language.
During my travels I have done various jobs just as painting, gardening, teaching, working as a receptionist, selling stuff on the streets (mostly necklaces) and many more. I learned a lot about the intercultural exchange between the different ways of living and I became way more open minded. No matter where I went, I have always been welcomed with open arms and nobody turned me away.
For that reason, I want to give something back and teach the languages and skills I have acquired during my journey to someone else who is interested in learning a new language or needs help for his/her exam/school.

My style of teaching is mainly having fun while learning something new.
I personally wasn’t a fan of Spanish classes back at school but that changed immediately when I traveled the world. That is because I had fun while learning these languages and I wasn’t feeling like I had to, just as in school.
Before WE both start a new class together no matter if it’s Spanish, English or my native language German, WE will discuss what your actual level is and what you want to achieve.
It is important to have your goals in mind because only when you do so, you can reach them one day.
That of course doesn’t come only with having fun but also with constant work and a little homework from time to time.
Due to the cause that my father is a teacher himself "what a coincidence:D" I have access to a huge amount of teaching books and methods and if you are interested in me being your teacher I will offer you many different tasks and never boring lessons.

Jonathan gibt mir seit einiger Zeit online Unterricht in Spanisch. Ich kann ihn als Lehrer nur weiterempfehlen!
E ist sehr geduldig und geht super auf mich ein und wenn ich manchmal etwas auch beim zweiten oder dritten Mal nicht verstehe, erklärter es mir so oft, bis ich es kapiert habe.
Man hat bei ihm immer das Gefühl, dass es ihm wichtig ist, dass seine Schüler die Grundlagen einer Sprache verinnerlicht haben und er hat auch zwischendurch immer mal einen lockeren Spruch drauf oder er erzählt eine Anekdote von seinen vielen Mittel- und Südamerika-Reisen (natürlich auf Spanisch und Deutsch) sodass die Stunde nie langweilig wird. Ich habe viel Spaß bei meinem Unterricht und das ist, wie ich finde, die beste Voraussetzung, um eine Sprache zu erlernen.Jonathan ist ein zuverlässiger Lehrer mit dem man seine Ziele strukturiert und orientiert erreicht! Der Unterricht hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht !

Details
Hello guys! I personally prefer online classes but I do make in person classes as well. I am moving to the Netherlands again in September so from then on I will offer only online classes. The prize for a online lesson is 12 EUR and for a "offline" lesson 15 EUR.
