About Chris

I have taught English to individuals and to groups for more than twenty years. Teaching English used to be my main job, but about six years ago I began to translate documents (from German into English) in order to be able to live in the countryside and work from home. However, I love teaching and I would like to teach again part time. I prefer to work with adults, and at the moment (due to the pandemic) I would like to teach online. English is my first language and I speak Spanish and German as well.

About the lesson

When working one-on-one with a student, I generally use material I have created over the years. We discuss a variety of topics and I correct all grammar and pronunciation mistakes and suggest additional ways to express oneself. In addition, I give writing homework because this is an excellent way to discover what one does not know how to express and to learn. I correct the homework and then ask the student to rewrite it.
