About Victoria

Strong writing opens doors in every subject and at every stage of education. Whether you're working on a middle school essay, a high school research paper, a college application, or a university assignment, I help students develop the skills needed to write clearly, think critically, and communicate their ideas with confidence.

I am a certified teacher and PhD candidate in Roman History with experience teaching at both the secondary and university levels. Over the course of my academic career, I have written and edited extensively, published scholarly work, secured competitive research funding, and mentored students through a wide range of writing projects. My students seek support with academic essays, literary and historical analysis, research papers, personal statements, college and graduate school applications, and long-term writing development.

My approach goes beyond proofreading. Together, we work on the underlying skills that make strong writing possible: developing arguments, organizing ideas, analyzing evidence, structuring essays, revising effectively, and writing with clarity and purpose. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking intellectual risks, and growing as writers.

About the lesson

As a certified teacher, PhD Candidate in Roman History, and holder of an M.A. in History, writing has been central to my academic and professional life for more than a decade. I have taught at both the high school and university levels, and enjoy helping students of all ages become stronger, more confident writers.

I can help with:

Rather than simply correcting mistakes, I help students understand how writing works so they can become more independent and effective communicators. I work with middle school, high school, university, and adult learners, and tailor each lesson to each student's goals and needs.
