About Dan
Born to British parents, I grew up in Germany and enjoyed an international education that was extremely diverse and outward looking. I discovered my passion for languages at school, and developed it as a student of medieval languages at Cambridge University (Peterhouse, 2010). I have taught English, German and Latin, in parallel with my career as a professional singer at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. Conversations about European and world culture are central to my lessons. As well as technical language work, our sessions will cover a broad range of topics from history and politics, to philosophy, literature and the arts.

I took extracurricular online Latin lessons with Daniel in my GCSE year. It was far from an easy task to tackle, since I took up Latin again after abandoning it for almost a year, with the intention of taking it for my GCSE and A-levels. The result of Daniel’s more than able tutoring was a grade 9 (A**) in my exam. Daniel’s teaching style was greatly fun and engaging, comprehensive and very informative and culturally-charged, I enjoyed it immensely and I strongly recommend him to anyone looking to take Latin exams.
