About Jacob

I graduated from Stanford in 2021 with a B.S. with Honors in Biology. Currently I am a medical student at UCSF. I have been an instructor for 3 classes at Stanford, guest-teach a class at UCSF, and have successfully tutored several students on topics that relate to Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, and also exam-specific tutoring for the MCAT, ACT, and SAT. I am enthusiastic about working with learners to build solid understanding and problem-solving skills to apply their knowledge to new problems.

I started tutoring in high school, and have continued ever since.

I have spent 5 years doing biomedical research at Stanford and Genentech. I love helping people understand biological and chemical concepts.

English

First, I help students understand the content and material they are tasked with learning. Then, I help them apply that knowledge and problem solve. This is the process that allowed me to complete my B.S. in Biology at Stanford University.

College students, high school students, and anyone taking the MCAT (I scored a 515=90th percentil) or ACT (I scored a 34=99th percentile).
