About Dani
I am passionate about making learning fun and equitable for every student. I understand that each student learns differently and I tailor my teaching style to each individual learner. That is what I love about 1:1 teaching, I am able to accomdate and meet each student right where they are at and help them to establish and reach their next learning goal!
I have been working with elementary aged students for the last 4 years. I am a senior at Oakland University, majoring in elementary education. I have logged over 100 classroom hours in local elementary schools working alongside mentor teachers. I have co-taught a preschool class, and I am a certified substitute teacher.
I enjoy the lightbulb moment. The time when something that has been so confusing and frustrating shifts into a space where it all suddenly makes sense, the stress melts away, and leaves a sense of accomplishment in its place.

Relationships are vital, especially in a learning environment. I like to ask questions such as: what is your favorite hobby? Do you have any pets? What is your favorite food? etc. From there I will use their answers to personalize their experience. My goal is for each student to feel valued and cared about so they don't feel like they have to hide their learning struggles. It can be tough to ask for help, but when you know and trust the person on the other end, it becomes easier!
