About Lauren

I have a BA in Communication Science Disorders from St John's University. I have 8 years of experience in implementing intensive reading fluency and comprehension programs in a one-on-one environment.

I have a wealth of experience in creating individualized lesson plans for students after identifying their strengths and weaknesses. These lesson plans are curtailed exactly to their needs. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed and I enjoy watching my students grow more confident as they feel more successful.

With online learning become more and more apart of our academic world, I believe that we can make online learning just as effective as it would be in person. I believe in a very active and dynamic online learning style rather than passive learning. I like to incorporate brain breaks and movement breaks to keep lessons feeling fresh and fun though they are conducted virtually.

I offer complimentary intake phone calls to learn more about your student's needs and areas you feel they may need support in.

The first step in the process for the developing the best plan for your student is scheduling a complimentary intake phone call with me. I'd like to hear you concerns about your student, hear about their strengths, as well as any feedback you have heard from their school. We may review possible next steps for your student and come up with a solution for them!

I have worked with students as young as 4 years old through adulthood. I have also worked extensively with students with dyslexic profiles as well as other learning disabilities.
