About Nick
I am a big believer in structure and persistence - with these two pillars, you can learn anything. Structure matters because it defines what you will learn and how to get there. It is easy to fall into the trap of studying the wrong things or losing focus - structure prevents that. Simply allocating planning time beforehand can make all the difference. Meanwhile, persistence is what makes learning stick. It is only through repetition and working through mistakes that we truly learn. I do my best to instill these pillars with my students so one day they can use them without me.
On the technical teaching side, I spend a lot of energy explaining things in multiple ways. In my experience, in school, concepts are only taught in one way. However, there are many ways to teach the same thing, from writing to math. Most times, students that struggle just need something to be explained differently. I focus on finding the teaching style that fits the student.
A little about me, I graduated with a Bachelor's in Business from Skidmore College. Since then, I have worked for the past several years and am currently getting my MBA from NYU Stern.
