About Sydney
Hi! I have been babysitting and tutoring children of all ages since I was 14. I have now been a preschool teacher for over 5 years, working with children as young as 5 months up to 6 years of age. I also have experience tutoring children from ages 7-15 in a variety of subjects. I currently work as a student speech-language pathologist at a preschool for students with disabilities. I studied at Georgetown University for my undergrad, with a double major in linguistics and psychology with a minor in Spanish. I now study at Teachers College, Columbia University to pursue my graduate degree in speech-language pathology.
I have a lot of experience working with children in ELA and a large part of my graduate studies involve learning how to work with reading skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, story-telling, grammar, and more.
