About Olivia

My service has historically produced amazing results. I focus on fostering understanding and helping students to interpret texts independently. I lay out a straightforward, clear path to succeeding in academic/intellectual endeavors, while also taking into account the idiosyncratic needs of each student.

I find teaching incredibly rewarding. Helping students understand and interpret material uplifts me.

I graduated summa cum laude, with salutatorian status, from Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College, in Manhattan. I received a BA in Dance with two certificates in Film and Italian. She also has years of academic tutoring experience, teaching English and Italian to students ranging from elementary school to college. In 2014, Olivia received a scholarship from the Italian Consulate of New York to study abroad with the Italian American Committee on Education. In college, Olivia received numerous awards for academic excellence and studied abroad in Florence, Italy.

About the lesson

I assess the student's personal academic needs and evaluate the best course of action. I have a holistic approach to student's educational well-being, and understand that true learning takes place when the student can absorb and independently interpret the information.

I have tutored students from preschool age to college age. I have worked with students with learning disabilities including reading/processing/comprehending delays and issues, as well as dyslexia and dyscalculia.
