About Britt

I have been tutoring for over 12 years now! I specialize in German and French, but can also tutor basic Russian. I am a middle school French teacher and I really enjoy working with kids!

Languages have been a passion of mine since I was a child, and as a student of languages myself, I know how hard and frustrating it can be sometimes to learn a language! I would love to work with you or your student in helping you or them regain their confidence in mastering a foreign language!

I love watching students believe in themselves. I believe a lot of our own obstacles start in our mind: our thought processes about what we can do or cannot do. It's so rewarding to watch students gain confidence in themselves again and prove to them they really can do anything!

I am a French middle school teacher, and have been studying French for about 17 years. I have traveled to France about 13 times. I speak French fluently.

I lived in Germany for 2 years, and have been a student of German for about 10. I speak German fluently.

I have been studying Russian for 5 years, and spent time in Irkutsk, Siberia.

About the lesson

I normally set up a phone call to talk with a student about the problem areas. What is the student most comfortable with? What areas of language learning does the student struggle with the most? I think that first phone call is also important for introductions.

Then, we can schedule a time, usually during a 1 hour slot, where we can start to review the basics. Through that time together, I will be able to get a good picture on what areas to focus on.
