About Robin

I am a graduate student in UVA's creaitve writng program and a passionate teacher. I have taught a variety of undergraduate courses at UVA, which has been the highlight of my experience as a graduate student. When I teach English and writing, I am dedicated to recognizing individual student needs and guiding each student in a specific, engaging, and enthusiastic manner. I also believe in helping students target their particular concerns with the assignment in front of them while simultaneously offering writing and critcial thinking skills that they will be able to apply to future papers. It's important to me that students learn to think of writing as an ongoing project rather than a string of unrelated assignments. More than anything, I care about creating a positive experience for students and teaching them to recognize the strong qualities of their writing as well as the qualities that can be improved.
