Experienced tutor in Guitar in East Meadow, Marc offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

Marc is an excellent teacher. He tailors sessions to your personal learning style and preference in music. His knowledge in music is expansive and he communicates this knowledge in a clear manner. I have had multiple attempts at learning the guitar as a I started playing later in life than most people. I became frustrated with past teachers and thought I would never be able to achieve my dream of playing. In just a few weeks of working with Marc, I was able to play riffs of my favorite songs, understand basic music theory concepts, and improve my rhythm. After 1 year of working with Marc, I am playing songs I never thought I’d be able to play and more importantly, expressing myself through songs and melodies that I have created. If you want to learn how to play, Lot More Guitar is the place.

Marc has been teaching my son for a few years. He is an amazing teacher and my son looks forward to his lessons every week. He has taught my son a wide variety of music. If you are a beginner or an advanced student you will learn so much from Marc.

Marc is an exceptional guitar teacher. His relaxed, laid-back style makes you feel at ease while his deep understanding of guitar and music theory offers something for everyone. Whatever your level of playing, you'll learn something from taking lessons with Marc. His lessons are tailored to each student; from genres that pupils like, to learning how to play songs by students' guitar heroes. Marc uses student selected songs to teach broader concepts and give practical application to music theory. Within just a couple of months of starting lessons with Marc, I was performing on stage at one of his "student Jams" (pre-pandemic.). I've been taking weekly lessons with Marc for a number of years (in person and now digitally during COVID) and have no plans to stop - he's that good.

“At any rate, Marc, I really wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your infinite patience, your sincere words of encouragement and your graciousness . Not only are you a phenomenally talented musician but a master teacher and I am extremely lucky and blessed to be your student.”

“Hey Marc. Thank you for the amazing work you're doing with Brina! She LOVES learning guitar. She has been writing her own songs and playing them for us all the time. We are so proud of her! We couldn't be happier to have found such a talented, patient & attentive teacher! You're the best!”

“With both my children taking music lessons, I decided a few years ago, at the youthful age of 45, to take up the guitar. Over the first few months I tried two different teachers but was uninspired and frustrated. A local music shop recommended Marc Viola. With Marc, I progressed quickly. He taught me what I wanted to learn but slowly kept improving my skills keeping my interest high. Marc's technical skills are superb. No matter how difficult the song, he is always able to break it down in a way that makes it easy for me to learn. After two years, I still look forward to every lesson.”

Marc is an absolutely fantastic teacher! I began playing the guitar with Marc at the age of 16 and was able
to be accepted into a competitive college level music school for music
education with only two years of study. Studying guitar with Marc opened
the doors for me to being a performer for Musical Theater Pits, Jazz Guitar
Performance, Solo and Ensemble Classical Guitar Performance, Liturgical
Music, Traditional and Contemporary Irish Pub Music, and Choral Conducting.”
