Goju-Ryu is the best karate. It incorporates easy-to-understand and useable techniques that apply to all facets of life. More importantly, Sensei Russ Costello is the absolute best teacher!!!! I highly recommend him.

I absolutely love training with Russ Sensei. He is very patient and truly wants you to succeed. He believes in you when you don't and pushes you to learn and grow faster than you expect to. I have trained with many Sensei's and Russ Sensei goes above and beyond what most Sensei's teach their students. He has a strong passion and desire to teach Goju-Ryu and you will definitely learn more than the average student.

Russ Sensei teaches techniques in user friendly increments. yet comprehensive allowing for continued growth, and building week to week. His dedication and commitment was exciting, allowing for the inner confidence of practitioners to further develop. GoJu-Ryu Katate-Do combines disciplines beyond physicality, it is a mental training just as much as a full body workout.
I fully recommend anyone looking to engage in the martial arts to work with Russ Sensei as your Goju-Ryu instructor!

Russ Costello Sensei’s skill and knowledge of all aspects of Goju-Ryu is unparalleled. The workouts are demanding and practical, and his attention to and understanding of seemingly small details is phenomenal.
