About Luke

In a world of fighting, you will find that we are a very friendly group of people who treat each other like family. Our slogan is "Battle tested. Family Approved." Our Academy has been operating since 2003 as the Clinch Academy but also has been around priorly known as "Self-Defense Tactics". We have been the leading source for Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Self-Defense in the Frederick Area for over 20 years! We service Men, Women and Children. It doesn't matter if you are looking to fight, compete, get in shape or just meet new friends, we provide it all at the Clinch!

I love working with people and helping them grow in life on every level and acheive their goals.

I started training whe I was 5 years old..back in 1983 with my Father. Eventually, I began teaching with my father and ulitmitely became head instructor started my own Academy.

I have a 3rd degree black belt in brazilian jiu-jitsu, a Black Belt in a custom self-defense system known as self-defense tactics, a black belt in CFK Kickboxing and a Black Belt in Tang Soo Do.
