About Leah

I am a 5th year student at Georgia Tech studying Mechanical Engineering. I am passionate about math and teaching students, while also making the material exciting and engaging. I have worked as an engineer for the largest tech companies in Silicon Valley and take my experience in school and industry to apply school work to real world situations where math is used.

I started teaching/tutoring in high schoool when i started a STEM program at a local middle school to bring fun engineering and science projects to students who had no previous exposures. I wanted to show students the board scope of careers in STEM available to them, so as they progressed through school and later looked at college they remembered how many opportunities there are in those fields.

I am completing my bachelors in mechanical engineering where I have gained a strong foundation in math and its applications in engineering. I have tutored many students in elementary and middle school before.

About the lesson

I think its really important to start by understanding what the student is passionate and excited about so I can bring that into whatever they are working on. Next, it's an important step understand what comes easily to them compared to what is more of a challenge to customize our approach based on their needs and strengths.

For a 1:1, 1 hour tutoring session or lesson I charge $45. However, please reach out to me if that pricing structure doesn't work for you, i'm very flexible and happy to work something out!
