I enjoy connecting with my clients and helping them navigate through complex problems that may seem overwhelming at first.

My mom is a teacher and educational technology professosional, so my interest in education comes from her. In college, a friend introduced me to tutoring and I was a tutor for my university's athletic department for about a year and a half

My math coursework gives me a deep understanding and appreciation for the discipline. In my role as a an Assistant Instuctional Designer, I received extensive training in the pedogological process to develop distance learning courses. I have also received training regarding student-tutor best practices in previous tutoring roles.

First I want to understand how they've been exposed the the subject/ how they've been thought the subject. This helps me understand how to proceed and what approach to use in order to be consistent with the instructor approach as well as enabling a more wholistic learning processor. This usually involves a brief talk with the student and if possible review their notes with them.
