About Nicholas

I am an NYU graduate with a passion for numbers!

Numbers have helped me make sense of the world around me for years and I love helping others see the way math and numbers can help us in our everyday life.

I have tutored on and off for the last 10 years; mostly elementary, middle, and high school levels.

I can only imagine the challenges facing many students in the current circumstances and would be honored to help where I can!

I started tutoring a few of my neighbors while I was in High School. Through word of mouth, I was able to create a network of about 10-15 families with students at all age gaps. I went on to offer tutor services while at Irvine Valley College and New York University.

I enjoyed working in math, history, and sciences and was able to help many students throughout the years.

I have been in sports and sales over the last seven years and it is very much a numbers game. Whether it be through data analysis or sales, understanding numbers is pivotal to making the business work.

Through NYU, Udacity, and other various programs I have built up a strong knowledge of how numbers work with real-world applications.

About the lesson

I start by taking the time to get to understand the core of the curriculum that they are being taught and discuss any problem areas my new students are having.

Through this process, I then carefully craft a playbook for how to tackle the curriculum in a way that makes sense for the student.

I have worked with students from all backgrounds and education levels.

Numbers can be scary, they can even be imaginary! I like to see how numbers and other symbols work together to create a story and once you understand the story it all starts to click! Do not get frustrated if it does click at first, there are plenty of ways to help it make sense.
