About Elizabeth

For the past two years, I have tutored an English learner for nearly two hours a week. Seeing how much of an impact I can make inspired me to expand my tutoring!

I help elementary school and middle school-aged students with their academic homework, like English, math (Algebra, Geometry, etc.), science, and history. I also offer a trial session that's totally non-binding!

I'm currently a sophomore at Lynbrook High School, so I know how difficult striving for those straight A's can be! I love helping students reach their goals and find their true potential. I believe that everyone is capable of being successful in their classes, and I'm just here to help!

I started teaching through volunteering at a club at my school which connected me with English-learning refugees from around the world. Tutoring every week (over 100 hours!) was a super rewarding and meaningful experience. I loved using what I had to help other people, and I was able to learn from the strong work ethic of my students as well!

I'm a sophomore at Lynbrook High school with a 4.0 GPA, so I know how difficult striving for those A's can be! Throughout my high school career, I have developed important study habits and techniques to maximize porductivity that I hope to share with all of my students!

The first thing I want to do is to become familiar with the student's learning style! I ask them what their goals are for a particular subject and what they think their strengths and weaknesses are. I always tailor my tutoring based on their needs and give them extra practice if needed!
