About Harvey

I am a recent gradutate of The University of Akron. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education Science & Social Studies. I have student taught 8th grade Earth Science and 9th grade Physical Science. I have had a semester worth of teaching experience in the public school setting. Using a variety of technological resources, I have been able to engage students in activities, lab reports, and conduct assessments. There have been many instances where I have tutored students to help raise their overall grade and help them understand content.

I have had student teaching experience in teaching 8th grade Earth Science & 9th grade Physical Science. I also have had a semester of teaching experience in a public school setting. These experiences have improved my skills in teaching and tutoring.

When first meeting a student, I ask what kind of learning style best benefits them for understanding content. Knowing this can help narrow activities so that I can match their learning style.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Be sure how you want to ask your questions. Make sure they are concise and to the point. If the answer does not help answer your question, there's no fault in asking for clarity.
