About Caitlyn

Hi! I am a former AP and IB Psychology tutor with two years of experience in the classroom. I have a passion for helping students and try to make sure that their tutoring experience is tailored toward their specific needs.

I am currently a graduate student with the University of Florida, studying how to better teach psychology at the high school level.

I have always been incredibly passionate about social studies, particularly psychology. I found early on through tutor that my true passion was in teaching others and sharing my knowledge and study skills to help people achieve in their classes.

I have a B.S. in Social Studies Education from Florida State University and I am currently getting a MAE in Social Studies Education at the University of Florida.

I also have two years of experience teaching AP and IB Psychology.

About the lesson

When I work with a new student I like to run through what they think they'll need help with. First I like to know how whether they are looking for homework help or instruction. I also like to narrow down where they think their strengths and weaknesses are when it comes to test-taking so we can work on those skills.

I have worked with students from grades 10 to 12 from all different backgrounds. I've worked with students who excel in school and those who need some extra help. I find that tailoring lessons to students needs helps to achieve to their highest potential.
