About Lucy

I am very interested in the Classical world, particularly in the language and literature of the Ancient Greek and Roman world. I have a first-class BA in Classics from Cambridge University and ranked 9th in my cohort. I also have A-Levels in Latin, Ancient Greek and English Literature, for which I received A*s. I received straight 9s at GCSE in the 12 subjects I studied. My main areas of interest academically are literature (both Classical literature and English Literature) and language - particularly historical linguistics and Latin and Greek grammar. I also have an interest in Ancient History, having studied it at GCSE, in the lower sixth, and during my first and second years of university.

About the lesson

I am keen to share my enthusiasm for Classics with students and while I am most suited to tutoring Latin or Ancient Greek grammar and literature, I am also happy to tutor in Ancient History. I have been tutoring for 3 years and have experience in tutoring at beginner, GCSE and A-Level standard. I have a flexible approach to tutoring and tailor lessons to meet the needs of individual students, depending on their preferred methods of learning. I am happy to tutor face-to-face in and around Cambridge, or remotely.
