Friendly guitar lessons for beginners and beyond — chords, strumming, and the songs you actually want to play

What stood out with Victor was how clear the next steps always were. No confusion after lessons. Kevin is easy to recommend.

Grant made steady gains without burning out. Nerves eased as skills got more reliable. I'd point anyone serious toward Kevin.

Kevin is an outstanding singing coach. He explains clearly, keeps lessons engaging, and helped me improve my pitch and confidence faster than I expected.

Kevin worked with me on SAT reading passages, the science ones where I'd read the whole thing and still couldn't answer a single question correctly. He started making me summarize each paragraph in one sentence before even looking at the answer choices. My summaries were way too vague at first, just restating random details. Somewhere around the third practice test it started clicking faster. He also went back through a section I'd already bombed and showed me exactly where I was rereading instead of actually understanding.

Kevin helped me with my geometry proofs, the two-column format where I could follow the logic but never knew which reason to write next to which step. He'd cover the reasons column and make me argue my case out loud first, and I mixed up postulates with theorems more than I want to admit. Took weeks to stop second-guessing myself. He also cleared up a confusing homework question over text without making me feel dumb for asking.

Kevin helped me work through AP Chemistry equilibrium problems, specifically Le Chatelier's principle, which I could state as a rule but never predict correctly on an actual problem. Before we touched any math, he'd make me guess which direction the reaction would shift and explain why in my own words. I guessed wrong more than right for a while. It finally started clicking a few weeks before the

Kevin helped me get through precalc trig identities, the ones where I'd memorize a formula sheet and still freeze when a problem looked slightly different. He'd cover up the identity and ask me what two things in the equation might actually be equal before I touched any algebra. I was wrong constantly for the first few weeks. Eventually I could spot the pattern without flipping through notes. He also stayed a few extra minutes once to walk through a homework set that was due the next morning.

Kevin helped me get through trig identities for precalc, the stuff where I'd just memorize formulas and forget them by the next quiz. He started making me draw out the unit circle from scratch every time instead of glancing at my notes, which felt like overkill until I stopped needing the notes
