About Hadley

I am a university graduate from The University of Texas at Austin who has been working as a Chemist for the last 4 years. I am specialized in scientific and technical writing, as well as technical literacy and reading comprehension. I am an avid reader who indulges in a chapter (or several) every night; from fantasy to historical autobiographies, I'm invested!

My experience as a Chemist has primed me for enabling students to tackle real-world problems in science and math. Understanding the founding principles of algebra, geometry, electronics, physics, and chemistry have been incredibly useful in my career, and I want to instill confidence in students that these principles really matter and will help them in their future endeavors.

Hi there! My approach to tutoring is that guided practice makes perfect. I will be hands on at first, offering explanations and examples, but eventually the training wheels will slowly come off so that you can practice being self sufficient. In my experience, too much instruction can sometimes overwhelm a student. Explaining simply and succinctly is my goal for all lessons to ensure easily digestible and memorable tips for success.
