About Lia
Coffee in hand, I often find myself refining the nuance of a single blues progression for hours. My BFA in Contemporary Music Performance from USC Thornton gives me the technical rigor to break down barre chords and complex strumming patterns for advanced players. I have taught 400 students the art of improvisation and soloing.
Theory is just a map for the soul. I love helping players fix those stubborn technical glitches in their playing. You will leave our time together with a clearer understanding of your instrument.

Checking your progress happens in tiny, rapid bursts throughout our time together. We play a phrase, stop, and fix the tension immediately.
This 10.0 rated method keeps the focus on what works when you are alone. Reading sheet music becomes second nature here.
We tackle grade exam prep with 10 years of professional clarity. I emphasize power chords that ring true.
Your playing must hold up without my help. Keep picking those strings like Guy Clark taught us. See you in the practice room.
