About Jaya
My name is Jaya Patel and I am 17 years old. I am a senior in High School and I have taken few College Level English classes and one advanced honors English class. All in which I have done exceptionally well in.
I am here to teach you and guide you and to get to know you. The English Language can be a bit tricky but we will work hard together to understand and grasp it. There's always room for growth and improvement:), all it take's is some hard work and determination to get there.
I believe in you and I can't wait to see you succeed!

About the lesson

* I will go through various texts and paragraphs with you, so that you begin to get a feel for the language.
* I will talk with you and have conversations back and forth.
* I will go through with you and pronounce English words and phrases. I will do this in increments, so that you can grasp the language and have a better understanding on how it is said and used.
* We will do some small activities like reading the words or sentences that are displayed.
* I will ask you to write certain words and phrases and then I will ask you to read them to me. If there is room for improvement or if there is a mistake, we will work one on one to fix the problem.
* I will read to you some words, sentences and small sections from an article or story and have you tell read to me or tell what the section was about.
-We will meet Friday's after-school, Saturday's and Sunday's
LEARNING GOAL--> To have you understand the English Language and be able to comprehend and feel comfortable when reading, writing or talking etc.
OBJECTIVE--> Be able to read, write and communicate confidently using the English Language
MATERIALS--> Pencils, pens, highlighters and a notebook. Don't forget the positive attitude:)
What sets me apart is that I will sit with you one on one and really get to know you and see where I can help you so that you can succeed and feel happy and confident in you abilities. I am very patient, compassionate and understanding. I will work hard to help you understand and grasp the language.
These lessons are for anyone and everyone. For those who may need an extra push or for those who may be struggling to understand and grasp the material.
