About Kira

I am a native American English speaker with 10 years of professional teaching experience. Before moving into education, I worked as an Executive Assistant in the corporate world. That experience gave me a firsthand understanding of how professionals actually communicate. I completed my Master Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language in 2016 and since then I have worked as a full-time educator, teaching a wide range of students; from young learners to working professionals, helping them achieve their specific language goals.

I bring a professional, patient, and highly responsive approach to every lesson. I am always warm and non-judgmental, so you will never feel embarrassed about making mistakes. In fact, mistakes are where the real learning happens, and my classroom is a safe place to make them. I don't rely on generic textbooks or a rigid curriculum. Instead, I adapt every session to what you actually need that week, whether that means mastering meetings, writing better emails, preparing for interviews, or working on academic presentations.

My lessons are for adult professionals and university students worldwide who need English for their careers. I work with employees at international companies, tech and business professionals, project managers, and students preparing for job interviews, presentations, or working abroad. Using a task-based approach, we use your actual work as the curriculum—roleplaying meetings, polishing real emails, and practicing upcoming presentations and job interviews. I correct your phrasing and tone in real-time so you sound natural, polite, and confident. A typical lesson includes warm-up and check-in to talk about what is going on in your professional life and what tasks were difficult. We also use role play to simulate real scenarios such as politely disagreeing in a meeting or asking for a raise. Every lesson is completely customized to your needs.
