I am a student currently studying at Deakin University, the course name is 'Bachelor of Art/Master of Teaching'. I am majoring in both literary studies and Chinese.
I was born in China, Shanghai is my birth city, and I have lived in Australia since I was ten.
Both English and Chinese are my first language.

I would like to begin the first session by understanding the student and for the student to also get a rough idea of who I am. Then I would also like to learn what the student enjoy or dislike about the English language.
I would like to ask my student to constructive a world of their own, using words and express them either through their own voice or their writing. I would like my students to get an understanding of the language itself and also why it is such an important tool, or even as a friend in our lives.
Getting the student to write a short story is also a good way to explore what their writing levels are at. It would also provide me a rough understanding of what level their written English would be at, this way, I could offer them the correct type of help that would need to improve on their ability to write. Because having created a work of art by yourself is the best way to build one's confidence and enjoy the language itself.
