I’m Carlos from Barcelona, Spain. I have been learning English with Sian for a couple of weeks. It was some time ago in my city, Barcelona. After that, I keep receiving her support when I required it.
At that time, I urgently needed to learn English, because I was going to start at the university the degree of "modern languages and literature" with English and French as primary languages. When I met Sian, my level of English was elementary. My knowledge was basically, few words that were insufficient to start a degree entirely in English at the university. My faculty recommended having the first certificate in English before starting classes, and my level as I said was a beginner. In the two weeks of her intensive course in Barcelona, I improved a lot, and, what is more, in a short time, I was able to speak and hold conversations with her. Her classes were terrific and much focused on speaking fluently.
Fortunately, I had the opportunity to learn English with her and my level improved enough to start the degree and to follow the classes without problems. Thanks to the fundamentals of her classes, I finished the degree with honours in four years, and now, I am an English teacher in Barcelona! I was able to achieve my dream of teaching in England, working at a secondary school as a Spanish teacher, something unthinkable four years before.
I strongly recommend her classes. She is meticulous and accurate in every aspect of English, and her positive, cheerful personality is lovely. She was always encouraging me during the lessons. She pointed out my weak points and made me focus on how to solve them.
Another essential point, it is her knowledge about phonetics, which helped me a lot during my two subjects at the university: phonetics I and II. That was not only basic to understand how to pronounce words in English but also to open a new world that I never notice before.
