About Ericka
I am a Computer Science student who will graduate in the beginning of 2020. During my student years I have created projects implementing various programming languages, such as creating a web application and building a relational database for said application. Due to my degree my strong suit is mathematics and computers. I also, have an interest in languages, currently practicing Japanese and utilizing English and Spanish in my everyday life. Since high school I have been a peer tutor, later on becoming part of a CS tutor program in my university. I am also used to teaching my younger brother; helping him and his friends review for Florida’s standardized tests. I can teach in both English and Spanish

My teaching methodology depends on the student since not every student learns the same way or performs better with a distinct teaching approach. However, I believe active learning is the most beneficial learning process because students are engaged and likely to learn faster instead of passively listening. While tutoring, it is important that to ask the student simple questions during your explanation process in order to make sure they’re understanding each step.
