About Sonia

Hi, I’m Sonia — a law graduate, business owner, and mum of three who’s spent years working with people from all walks of life. Talking to people, helping them feel understood, and building their confidence has always been a big part of what I do.

I’m also a primary school governor, so I get to see first-hand how people learn, what helps them grow, and how important it is to feel supported along the way.

Teaching ESOL is something I genuinely love. I know how much confidence comes from being able to communicate clearly — at work, at school, or just in everyday life. Seeing someone go from nervous to proud of themselves is honestly one of the best feelings.

My lessons are relaxed, friendly, and tailored to you. We’ll work at your pace, focus on what matters in your real life, and build your English skills in a way that feels natural and encouraging.

If you’re looking for someone patient, down-to-earth, and genuinely invested in your progress, I’d love to help you on your learning journey.

About the lesson

As a law graduate, business owner, and primary school governor with a strong background in communication, leadership, and working with people from all walks of life. My professional experience has shaped me into a tutor who is organised, clear, and deeply committed to helping learners succeed.

What Sets Me Apart:
Strong communication skills developed through years of face-to-face work

Professional clarity and structure from my legal background

Leadership and educational insight from serving as a school governor

Real-world experience supporting people in diverse situations

A calm, patient approach shaped by being a mum of three

How I Teach:
My lessons are designed to be practical, focused, and tailored to your goals. Whether you want to improve your speaking for work, prepare for exams, or build everyday confidence, I’ll guide you with clear explanations, structured learning, and steady support.

Why Learn With Me:
I understand how important English is for work, study, and daily life. My aim is to help you communicate confidently and effectively, using skills that genuinely matter outside the classroom.

If you’re looking for a tutor with strong professional experience, excellent communication skills, and a supportive teaching style, I’d be delighted to help you on your English-learning journey.
