About Karina

As of now, I speak Romanian, English, Italian, Spanish, and I can make my way with German as well. I have learned thanks to multilingual reading, writing music and diaries in four different languages and moving from a country to another. I used to go to events held in Spanish when I could only speak a few sentences, and I used to read books in Italian when I merely knew basic grammar rules. But that's how the learning happens: when you experience and explore.

Later on, the fascination for languages blended with my intention to bring some fun and creativity into education. I travelled to Vietnam for one month, teaching English to children of different ages. Then, while living in Italy, I taught intermediate-level English in a non-formal learning group of adults in the community of San Cesario di Lecce. Meantime, I experienced one-to-one lessons while teaching Romanian.

About the lesson

I believe genuine learning happens in the experience, where enjoyment meets our innate curiosity to explore. Therefore, my approach to teaching is an experiential one, based on what makes you curious; made simple but enjoyable. Rather than a teacher, I see myself as a mentor that supports you in your learning journey. I draw inspiration from tools of non-formal learning, art education and empathic pedagogy, and I stay open-minded to your suggestions.

Karina ti mette subito a tuo agio.
