I love learning and teaching all sorts of things about social science, humanities, writing and research! I love doing this so much that I got a PhD in archaeology and work in higher ed.

Methodology

I meet my students where they are and focus on igniting their interest in a subject, no matter where they start. I scaffold skills development with regular feedback and encouragement, and give students the opportunity to connect new topics to information/experiences they already care about.

Background

I have over 12 years of experience as a educator, including work as a writing tutor for high school students, thesis editor for MBA students, and lecturer in the anthropology department at the University of Pennsylvania. While earning a PhD in anthropology/archaeology and working as an administrator in higher education, I gained deep experience in a broad range of subjects in the social sciences, arts and humanities.
