About Bérénice

Hello, My name is Bérénice, I have just graduated from an international master's degree in interculturality and languages (English-Chinese). Before that, I graduated with an English-Chinese LEA license. I also studied 1 year in Manchester, and did my 2-month internship (6 shortened to 2 due to the Covid) in Scotland. In the United Kingdom, I was an assistant to a French teacher in a high school, and when I returned to France I was hired as an educational tutor. I had elementary, middle school, high school and adult students. Recognition of my language skills: my diplomas, my overall IELTS result of 8.0, I worked as an interpreter at a UNESCO symposium in 2019. I can provide support in English (expressions and understandings) and give courses for all levels, but also Business English, some literature, translation, and help with IELTS preparation.

About the lesson

My main goal is to make my students love English. I love English myself and want to pass on this taste for languages to others. We have all had at one time or another a teacher who "disgusted" us with a subject. I want to correct the draw for people who have found themselves disgusted with English. My methodology is adapted to each student. During the first session, I start with a discussion phase in order to get to know my student better, his tastes, his difficulties etc. Then I give him a series of exercises to do in order to know his overall level. From there I try to adapt each course to each student. Of course, I have recurring themes that I will use for each student, but I will adapt the difficulty. In general, I alternate a written session (expression, comprehension, grammar if necessary) and an oral session.
