About Lauren
I graduated cum laude from Connecticut College with a BA in English. I then worked in non-profit public relations for many years before coming to University of Michigan for my MFA in Creative Writing. I currently teach first year writing at U of M.

My teaching approach varies from student to student. Most importantly, I'm interested in knowing how a student best learns, so that I can help them reach and surpass their goals. Reading, writing, and comprehension are deeply rooted in confidence, so I believe that making a student comfortable is the first step in a successful learning process.
