About Shanleigh
Hello, my name is Shanleigh, and I am an experienced traditional and digital artist/illustrator with a passion for creating art that is engaging, inspiring, and unique. I have a distinction in visual arts from high school and an honors degree in Multimedia graphic design degree from the North West University.
With a deep understanding of the most well-known mediums in drawing and painting, I have developed a versatile skill set that allows me to create art in a variety of styles and genres. My experience as both a traditional and digital artist/illustrator enables me to bring a unique perspective to my teaching, which helps my students to develop their own creative voice and style.
In addition to my artistic skills, I have a strong knowledge of Adobe software, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, After Effects, and Premier Pro. As a proficient user of these tools, I am able to help my students navigate the complex world of digital art and design with ease.
My teaching style is tailored to each individual student's needs, and I work closely with them to help them achieve their artistic goals. I am patient, attentive, and committed to providing a supportive learning environment.

Welcome! As an experienced tutor, I offer private lessons in Afrikaans and English to students of all learning levels.
My approach to teaching is unique and tailored to each individual student. I understand that everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses, and therefore, I like to begin by assessing each student's strengths and areas of difficulty. Based on this assessment, I create a personalized lesson plan that focuses on building a strong foundation of the fundamentals of the subject.
In addition to traditional teaching methods, I also use contemporary approaches to make sure that each student is engaged and enjoys the learning process. My methodology is designed to expand on the student's existing knowledge and develop their skills and techniques in a way that is best suited to their individual needs.
During each lesson, students can expect to receive one-on-one attention and support as we work together to achieve their goals. My teaching style is interactive and encourages students to ask questions and engage with the material, which helps to reinforce their learning and develop their critical thinking skills.
My lessons are aimed at students of all learning levels who are interested in developing their skills in art and design. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, my lessons are designed to help you achieve your goals and reach your full potential.

I give private individual and group lessons. Groups are no more than 3 individuals at a time and get a special group discount offer.
24 Hour prior written notice is needed when a lesson is canceled otherwise the cancellation policy will be effective, 50% of lesson cost.
