About Imogen

Hello! My name is Imogen and I'm a tutor, academic researcher, and charity worker. I grew up playing music and have since studied it at Cambridge University (BA), SOAS (MA) and Guildhall School of Music & Drama (PhD). I am especially interested in the roles music plays in different social, cultural and artistic contexts. When I'm not working, you can usually find me obsessing over a new album or booking tickets to a concert.

About the lesson

Our lessons will be tailored to your specific goals to develop the knowledge and skills you need to excel in your exams and assignments. We will work together to listen critically to music, to understand it in context, and to write about it convincingly and compellingly, drawing on knowledge of technical terminology and your own musical abilities and interests.
You will be learning in a student-centred, supportive environment with a tutor who genuinely cares about your success!
