About Nina

I am a 2nd year medical student from Ireland and English is my first language. I have studied teaching English as a foreign language and hope to help all of my students improve their English conversation and writing skills.

I have no strong accent and students tell me this is extremely helpful for conversation practise, especially with beginners. I conduct all of my lessons entirely through English and whilst this might sound daunting to beginners, it has been proven incredibly effective in encouraging active learning.

From our first meeting I will create a lesson plan which will help you to fulfil your English language goals and open up your world to the 1.5 billion others who are learning and speaking English too!

About the lesson

What you can expect from my lessons?

- English conversation practice with a native speaker [without any strong accent!]

- Useful phrases to allow you to switch between British-English, American-English, Irish-English etc. with ease.

- Personalised vocabulary banks and exercises catered to individual needs [e.g. Medical terminology, Business Vocabulary etc.]

- Lessons conducted entirely through English, even for beginners, encouraging active learning and helping you learn English without relying on direct translation.

Nina is a genuine and kind person who truly helped me to get into medical school. Her classes are organised and she helped me to create a study plan which worked with my lifestyle and the subjects I was struggling with. We worked on so many practice tests and she really put in the extra hours to give me advice and help me through the IMAT process. I was feeling overwhelmed by the amount I needed to study going into this process but Nina really encouraged me and helped make it more manageable. I would recommend her to anyone who is preparing for the IMAT too!
